Lee Harvey Oswald in New Orleans
While living in New Orleans, Lee Harvey Oswald promoted a chapter of the Fair Play For Cuba Committee, a pro-Castro organization. (Subsequent investigation suggests that he was the only member.) Oswald was arrested in New Orleans on August 9, 1963 for disturbing the peace after attempting to hand Fair Play For Cuba fliers to a number of people that he knew were anti-Castro Cubans.
